TWO REMARKABLE Jaguars that were found abandoned in separate garages are to be sold at auction. A 1961 E-Type, one of the earliest ever made and confirmed as chassis number 40, was discovered just a few weeks ago in a garage near Le Mans by Coys auction house, which will also complete the sale. The car hasn’t moved since it was left in the garage in 1974, although Coys claims the engine was last started five years ago and it still turns over freely.
Renault Twizy EV - now on sale in the UK
The Renault Twizy – a four wheel EV Scooter – has gone on sale in the UK this week at £6,990 plus £45 a month battery hire. LAND Rover is taking the performance SUV fight to Porsche as the Brit luxury car maker has unveiled a 550 horsepower version of its popular Range Rover Sport. The car, which is being launched at the prestigious Pebble Beach concourse event, is the fastest, most powerful Land Rover ever produced and the first to wear the SVR designation being adopted by future Land Rover and Jaguar high-performance models. The Range Rover Sport SVR accelerates from 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds and boasts a top speed electronically limited to 162mph plus a Nurburgring Nordschleife lap time of 8 minutes 14 seconds – one of the fastest times ever recorded by a production SUV.
